From Germany to France and another record company office date. The Frippertronics tour was conceived as a way of promoting the newly released Exposure and at the same time generate a more intimate and integrated way of engaging with both record company sales and marketing reps and journalists. Eric Tamm’s book Robert Fripp: From King Crimson to Guitar Craft notes that Fripp regarded the interviews "as being in some senses more important than the music I was playing."

Outstanding
A very moving one again... deeply magical. The Reels in themself are so beautiful that it is fast difficult to imagine a solo singing line upon them. So many thanks.

Bleeping Premiere
This wonderful recording is a significant one. Music for Journalists II is the earliest known appearance of the infamous "bleeping" element of Frippertronics. Perhaps this is where he picked up the on/off switch that he used subsequently or he may have initially utilized his Les Paul guitar pickup toggle switch to achieve this effect. I believe that prior to this date, there was only droned notes or quickly swept in notes via volume pedal.
