The first in a short residency in Paris has Fripp delivering stately sweeps of the strange bleeping and droning that enthralled but in some cases infuriated audience members who’d been expecting something more in keeping with King Crimson. Mostly though, audiences seemed to keep an open mind. Speaking to LA Reader the guitarist observed “I'm very pleased that people are approaching me from backgrounds other than King Crimson because, although I'm very proud of a lot of my work with Crimson, it only indicates one particular area, the more formal, structured one.”

My 18th Birthday
My mother gave me this Frippertronics bundle for Christmas. A wonderful and thoughtful gift. I have listened to this show a number of times and have been moved to tears twice. Frippertronics to me is such a pure artistic statement and this performance is proof of it. Simply beautiful and moving. Thank you DGM!

Long Phrases
Absolutely stunning pieces here! Especially notable are some unusually long phrases entered directly into the loops lasting almost the full repeat duration which make for some truly notable segments. Music for Palaces II contains a killer! An essential download for vintage Frippertronics enthusiasts!
