As Fripp makes clear in his announcement, he’s unhappy at the band playing on the elevated stage of the Theatre Pierre as opposed to the usual club gigs which are the more usual haunt of the LOG. Writing in his dairy, he notes "The warmth of response in such inappropriate surroundings was most encouraging."

The gig certainly packs a punch and contains the debut of a brand new track. Without a formal title to go Unknown Piece contains a lead guitar melody built from the closing lines of Prince Rupert’s Lament and a descending tumble of notes that would later turn up on Easter Sunday. Set to a driving LOG beat with Andrew’s Crumar growling and prowling near the end, this is a genuine surprise and a hitherto unknown item in the LOG itinerary.
