Yet a minute later The Power To Believe II sees them embarking on a sublime voyage that goes to bliss and back in a little over seven minutes; Fripp launches a solo that takes him clean out of city and off into inner space.
Elsewhere, despite struggling with a back injury and the ongoing trauma of finding himself touring Europe, (blimey how did that happen?) the old goat guitarist turns in some vintage stuff; the superfast diddly-diddly bits (technical term) on LTIA; a revved-up blaster on FaKcts of Life – are all deserving of your attention and your hard earned money.
A surprisingly brisk Elephant Talk with an interesting middle section and a Frame By Frame (played by the Double Duo for the first time on DGMLive) positively glisten and sparkle. Italy was gripped by a heatwave during June 2003 and when Crimson took to the stage of the splendidly opulent Teatro Carlo Felice things inevitably got a little hotter.

For our group, this was the second hot date of the tour ( we were in Milano the day before),and,yes, as Ade said, it was a bit of a strange evening. For example, would you believe that a dog ( guess how it cold enter the Theatre ) began to bark furiously during " ProzaKc Blues " ? ( if you listen carefully the download,you can hear it ), causing laughter from Trey ( he looked at Pat as if to say : " this could only happen in Italy..." ProzaKc Barking Blues!"). Then, i remember the stunning solo ...

Then, i remember the stunning solo from Robert during " Power To Believe 2 " and a enthralling version of " Dangerous Curves : a part of the audience began to clap hands quite out of time and i remember well Adrian answering shaking his head, as if to say..." no...please ! ". After that, we had the earthquake of " Lark's 4", the great acoustic version of "Three Of A Perfect Pair" from Ade and " Frame By Frame" played at the speed of sound ( both of them were not played the day before in Milano). And, then, after " Elephant Talk", to make the night even more remarkable, the female Crimheads in our group, Enrica and Stefania, exposed the banner : " Who said women don't like King Crimson ?" ( You can hear Ade reading it at the end of " Elephant Talk" in the download). Can i suppose that this fact influenced Sid Smith in saying that Genova had a lot of female Crimheads? Last surprise at the end of the show : Pat, after looking at us with great interest launched us his Pad with a dedication :" Hello to Italy, KC 2003 , Pat Mastelotto" ( that Pad is still on my wall, obviously on a Crimson background). Well, Genova was really a strange and miraculous show...

Power Of Belief
This is an excellent sounding show. It`s good to hear a few old favourites at the end even if "Frame By Frame" is missing Tony`s background singing. A strange start to "Dangerous Curves" (equiptment problems?) but a very good perfomance. Sav
