Beginning with a truncated Frying Pan, the Crims are in good form in Indianapolis. Vrooom sounds a touch more steady than the previous evening with a little baton-passing between Fripp and Belew although during the Coda Fripp's feet appear to fumble the patches. Elephant Talk becomes the only other vocal track on this rendition of the gig as Adrian conserves his vocal energies. Virtuous Circle is truly diaphanous tonight with Gunn putting in some intricate detail around the top end of his Warr Guitar. Sort of blink-and-you-miss-it but all adding to the feel of the piece in his usual subtle way. Of course, he gets to drift off into the stratosphere during a beautiful Thrush; very understated but hitting the mark. And when that cadence comes in toward the end even your goosebumps will have goosebumps! Gorgeous stuff.
