The sixth night of the 1995 European Tour – and our bold adventurers find themselves in Dusseldorf.
While waiting for definitive notes from Sid the Smith, we have Stormy’s show notes. His personal highlights were Walking on Air, Red, the Thrakking, Elephant Talk and the Talking Drum (with the exception of THRAK, a very different selection to the night before).

Finally, I have arrived at Düsseldorf Philipshalle (now Mitsubishi Electric Halle ) again, about 20 and a half years after I experienced the gig live. My first Crimson gig, and the third time seeing (or trying to find) RF on stage.Coming from my sequential listening from Zoom Club 72 more than one year ago, the development of the double trio (apart from the whole KC beast) is astonishing. While the first steps in Argentina have been very powerful already and very joyful, but a little bit cautious and diffident, here in Düsseldorf they take off indeed. The 5 preceding shows do not excel the Argentinean gigs. One can read in the THRAK BOX booklet about Pat’s remembrance what happened in Austria (restrained audience), and then in Italy (as manically supportive as ever), but Zurich already indicated what was going to happen for the rest of the leg of the European 95 tour. There are outstanding gigs to come (e.g. Paris Zenith, Brussels La Luna), but here in Düsseldorf the sextet unfolded its magic and its overwhelming power. I am glad having been eye- and earwitness - the punters reaction is very much listenable on the recording - thanks to Alex for the mix !PS Who gave Adrian the list with polite German phrases?

So I said O.K.! Let´s have a try... What shall I say, my underjaw dropped to the floor from the first notes and stayed there until the curtains fell. Since then I´m an addict to their music. Especially the double-trio-power is something which knocks me off regularly when listening (or watching DVD) to it! Thank you so much, that you make this show available now here on dgmlive!! Please, please, please dear Mr. Fripp, do some shows in Germany again!!
