Firecrackers were going off and there was an announcement that Crimson would not play until the firecrackers stopped. We waited awhile and I was beginning to get nervous Crimson wasn't going to play. They came out and you know the way "Lark's Tongues" starts, it is tinkling around percussion and violin, I looked around and people were leaving. Then the build up, the crescendo with the white lights flooding the stage and I looked around and everyone was filing back to their seats...no one moved for 45 minutes! I was exhausted. what a show. they played only the album; but so tight, so alive, so much energy and dynamics. This was the first CD I ever bought w the promise of concert dynamics. They only played the album tracks, no In the Court as they played at other shows on the tour, I was disappointed at the time for that but not for the show...this was my first live show, perhaps Genesis at the Music Hall in Boston got me almost to what I felt at this show.
