The shuddering bowed bass and wheeling flute offer a contrast between darkness and light as they hover for a moment in space. When Tony, Mel and Jakko play the main theme, this Fripp composition comes briefly into sharp focus before drifting away on the Threshold Bells motif. Preceded by Easy Money and followed by The Letters, Interlude offers a moment of balance if you like, the calm between the storms.

I enjoyed the show very much. I wanted to mention that there were some major problems with the mix. The drums and base were far too loud, and often it was very difficult to hear the horn player and the two guitarists. Even Robert's lead line in Heros for example, was a strain to hear.
