As the thin line of the main theme climbs up out of the brutal opening chords, the old warhorse always causes a ripple of excitement in concert. In this arrangement, with the Drumsons and the backline more clearly delineated than ever before, it’s possible to focus in on some of the individual elements operating within the overall Crimson machine. The voicing between the two guitars has never sounded better or more precise. Lean and pared back, Red sounds like it really means business!
