There was a time in rock music when the drum solo was more often than an excuse to go off to toilets, while a feat of endurance, in all senses of the word, was thrust upon an unsuspecting concert hall. However, these percussive vignettes come from a different place altogether. Unconcerned with delivering the fastest paradiddle in the West, instead we find the delicate articulation of an undulating melody, spread across a series of graceful dynamic arcs to reward our attention.

Never been to a show like this. And cannot imagine to experience anything of this magnitude any time in future. The band of enormous talents and rock Masters hit with a majestic blast but also precision. Slowing down on Starless, Epitaph, to climb again to height and grand velocity in further classics like Sailor’s Tale and LTIA II. And doing IT with ease, for me hard to notice any sign of fatigue looking at Tony barely visible he actually touches the base. I saw people with eyes wide open and a slight grin through the crowd, my dad and myself, capturing each milisecond to my brain through my senses. Most notably the sense of hearing, not. overwhelmed by the ascetic light letting the music play its dominating role. Thank you for those high quality recordings from this Road. Collecting each one of them.

My first KC show!
It was my first Crimso concert that I’ve been to. It was not a concert, not a show - it was a all-sense experience! I listen to a lot of different rock bands, but King Crimson is another level of music. Great setlist and a night to remember forever. So wonderful to hear 60/70’s classics - I thought it would never happen.

Damn, they go fast!
It’s impressive to realize how fast the three drummers are performing this tune! I remember it from the night I saw them at Hackney Empire last year, and then at Aylesbury in september 2016, and I noticed the speed was higher. You can also check it by listening to Radical Action and then to this free hot tickle: well, it’s becoming more and more explosive every time it gets played! Well done! :-)

Great Piece!
The drums suffer the most sonically on these desk tapes but this piece is very tuneful so it works nicely. Sort of a Max Roach doing overdubs of himself but not in a jazz context piece.I look forward to how these new drum numbers fit in to new material as a sorbet if there is a new album... or if the band gets to a stage where there is basically only new material being played live.
