It’s always fascinating that no matter how well people know this song and how it comes to sudden halt, audiences often seem taken by surprise at the rush into silence that marks the end of the track. Sections of the audience whoop one after another, as though startled.
And why not? There’s something inherently dramatic in the way all seven players, busily thrashing, bashing and plucking away, converge into that still point as though stepping into the eye of the hurricane, leaving the turbulence of the song to whirl around the room in their wake.

I was at this show and I must say that it was an amazing show! The setlist was really incredible and there were lots of totally unexpected pieces like Lizard and Fracture. I came to the show expecting it to start with Larks' Tongues in Aspic Pt 1 like most of the shows in 2015, but I was really surprised and happy when they started with Dawn Song! It was definitly a good way to start the concert and set the mood for the evening! The moment when I heard Fripp play the first notes of Fracture on his guitar is still very vivid in my mind. It really gave me goosebumps because I never would have thought I'd ever see them play that one live!
The other high points of the show were easily Hell Hounds, Larks' Tongues in Aspic Pt 2, One More Red Nightmare, The Letters and of course 21st Century Schizoid Man was very impressive and was an outstanding way to finish the evening.
But if there was ever a possibility of making another track of this show available for download, I'd ask for Fracture without a doubt!

Yes, that was the day of the 9th September, 2016. For many people it was just a normal day, a day without a beginning nor an ending because it was quite normal day for them. Just business as usual. For me it was a special day by joining your concert in Stuttgart. The evening brought joy to my soul and my spirit. Thanks for sharing this evening with me (and the audience, too). The compilation of the songs was fantastic. Music at its best.
