One of the organising principals behind this iteration of King Crimson was that the music was new - whenever it was written. Many people attending the shows in 2014 were struck by the way repertoire had been reimagined. A case in point is Level Five, one of the key pieces from The Power To Believe period. To many ears, the addition of Mel’s baritone sax and the later solo sounded as though they had always been there. Similarly the baritone heard on Red and One More Red Nightmare provides an answer to what things might have sounded like had Mel played on more than Starless back in 1974.
