As a 14 year old Beatles fan I attended this concert in this beautiful gothic hall. My first ever live music event and 50 years on I can still remember so much detail. Boz drinking honey from a jar to soothe his sore throat/cold, Mel's raucous soloing and the imperious guitarist sat beneath his afro hairstyle ripping off some amazing riffs. In particular the rendition of Devil's Triangle was especially terrifying with the strobe lights lighting up the stone columns of the auditorium. I also recall Ian Wallace tumbling backwards from his drum seat during his solo and throwing sticks at his kit which were then ricocheting into the audience. Where were health and safety rules back then? All in all a life changing experience, remembered with great affection. Thanks King Crimson for enriching my life!
