Enjoyable alternate take
I could listen to this one over and over and I did. I happen to like this song very much. Highly recommended.
A popular track with the League and played at every show the quartet did during its short lifespan in 1980, it was always going to go on record when the group rocked up at Arny's Shack. Between the contrasting textures of Fripp’s scything lead lines and Barry Andrew’s paper-thin organ textures, Sara Lee’s propulsive bass provides the spine to the whole piece. Presented without the drum track, this special mix demonstrates the relationship between the three players in close-up detail. As good as the number is, however, this take was judged to be 'close but no cigar' and so didn't make the final cut.
