The Guitar Circle Of Europe
The Guitar Circle Of Europe take on some startling and often inventive interpretations of KC repertoire. Whilst the knotted lines of Discipline clearly fits this format and is obviously suited to such an arrangement, who would have thought that The Great Deceiver would be so fearsomely powerful without the hurtling provocations of Bill Bruford and John Wetton? Aside from a peppering of original compositions emanating from within the Circle, there’s also a couple of interesting arrangements of music originally heard in the cinema. Their version of John Barry’s Capsule In Space from the Bond movie You Only Live Twice has a suitably spectral feel and you’ll be able to chill to their rendition of Henry Mancini’s noir-ish Experiment In Terror. While there are familiar tropes such as Circulations, this is not quite the Guitar Circle album you might be expecting.
