Here's the running DAT tape for what would be the last track on the Thrak album. You can hear the chaotic medley of Mellotron parts played by Fripp more clearly here than on the finished album. And it isn't just any old Mellotron, either.

Fripp had two Mellotron 400s shipped to Real World for the recording of THRAK. These, however, saw little in the way action — except from Mastelotto and Levin, who used them to rest their laptop computers. Eventually, the two machines were shipped back and the original Mellotron from ITCOTCK arrived in their place — along with a request from Fripp for it not to be used as a workstation.

After the last note fades out, a burst of cocktail lounge music from the Mellotron veers briefly into view. Mastelotto recalls the moment. "My big surprise on hearing the CD was my voice at the end going 'Yeah!'. I had said that as I got up to leave my kit, long after the track had died out, but after additional overdubs it appeared right at the end of the Mellotron decay.”
