“I think my position is fortunate that yes I have a high degree of mobility. I think part of that is because I’ve spent a lot of time preparing my future. One of the functions of the brain, of the mind, is to prepare our future. So if we have fairly shoddy thinking our future is going to be fairly shoddy. If it’s non-specific our future is likely to be non-specific. Relating this to the idea of the music system this is a synthetic visual image. It’s an instrument of thinking which when any spontaneous or creative energy is flying by inhabits the instrument which is there for it. Now if I didn’t have this visual image that energy would fly out of whatever other thoughts I was having. For example, two days ago I woke up in Waterloo, in the Waterloo Motor Hotel and wrote a limerick. You want to know the limerick? It was a little vulgar.”

This lecture is very attracting my attention due to the - very good audio quality- the very intelligent contributions- the fun involveddespite the last audience remarks in direction to the musician are somewhat distorting the overall impression.
