RF: Brutal Interrogationist, Festival Goer and Bootlegger Jo Kendall has allowed us to share her viddy of T&R stting in with the Trevor Horn Band at Cropredy on 11th. August. I now have some sense of the guitar solo. While playing it, I heard not one note. Usually, what I play is determined by what I hear, especially the sound of my guitar. So how to continue in this challenging situation?
1. I trust the process of the performance event.
2. I trust the band and singer.
3. A lot of practising, and internalising the form of the piece.
4. Internal imaginative hearing.
5. And then - forget all of that! Strap on and rock out, dude. It has nothing to do with you.
