Pat Mastelotto has been in touch and gives the new web site a definite thumbs-up. Pat
also points out that although he’s listed on the credits of the 2000
gigs as playing acoustic and electronic drums, at that point he was an
all-electronic beat boy.
The show at Circus Krone in Munich has a special significance for Pat. The morning after the gig, he met touch-guitarist, Markus Reuter of Centrozoon fame on the train. Since that chance encounter the pair have worked live as Tuner and recorded a fabbo album, Totem. If you’ve not come across it, you should. It’s an exciting blend of funksome grooves, spooky electronica and seismic drum n’ bass action. Click here for a full review or just go and buy it from the shop.
Markus
is one of many musicians who’ve spent a little time picking their
Desert Island Crim choices when faced with the question “if the boat
was going down, what KC tracks would you absolutely, positively have to
take with you?”
Their selections will be appearing here over the next couple of weeks as part of an occasional series . Feel free to contribute yours anytime you like over on the guestbook.
