Christie will be best known to KC fans for his various portraits of King Crimson between 1969 and 1973 and of course the celebrated album cover for Fripp & Eno’s landmark debut, No Pussyfooting.
Alongside Christie's candid shots of rock aristocracy, including The Rolling Stones as they rehearsed for the historic 1969 Hyde Park concert, the book contains portraits of Fripp, Wetton, and Bruford. Christie was a friend of KC managers David Enthoven and John Gaydon and was invited to numerous early Crimson gigs and the recording sessions for In The Court Of The Crimson King. Christie went on to become an enormously successful and sought-after photographer during the 1970s and beyond.
