GC Aphorism: A mistake is always forgivable, rarely excusable and always unacceptable.
George Peterman: Fuck it - if it is forgivable, that necessarily means it is excusable. Accept it and move on.
RF: Not good to attempt a justification of our errors IMO. Mistakes are at the centre of learning, after all. So let's accept our mistakes, without prevarication, and embrace them, learn from them, incorporate them in our practice, and then move on.
