World HQ.

The sun was shining in Milton Keynes this morning, and for several minutes. The view from the breakfast feeding trough was beautiful, and the NPU set to off. After those several minutes, the sun receded into a blanket of grey. But, on New Year’s Eve, about-to-be-becoming driving home, there was sunshine sufficient.

Left Hotel Acceptable around 10.30 for Bredonborough via Tamworth, to visit an art dealer. Formerly from Clifton, Bristol, he contacted my Sister several months ago & offered her a Fripp painting. I acted upon this & today carried home a new old Fripp.

A sisal carpet has been laid in the saloon during my absence. That is, 75% of the floor is covered in sisal. Regrettably, not enough sisal was provided so the fitters will have to return. Functional efficiency & reliability does not sound exciting, but is so rare in my life that, when someone is able to discharge a straightforward undertaking, I am grateful & impressed. So not today then.

A flurry of activity at World HQ. Some catching-up addressed, a lot of catching-up is waiting. It will wait a little longer: Slinky Minx will soon be home for her one day off.
