World HQ.
A day of organising, ordering & tidying. This sentence doesn’t convey the amount of stuff that gets moved around. Often, tidiness in one place = mess in another. As the builders move from room to room at HQ, my room-of-working changes. The kitchen was, for a while, the computer-operational room with broadband, scanner & printer. No longer. The back of the kitchen is about to be demolished & rebuilt; a storage area last week, the stored items are moved & the area relatively cleared. A temporary wall is to be built across the entrance to the about-to-be-becoming having-been-demolished part, to lessen builders’ pollen spreading through HQ. I am highly allergic to builders’ pollen.

Conventionally, gold discs are hung on the walls of toilets. Putting them on public display is considered vulgar. My discs (of ITCOTCK from many years ago) came out of boxes & it takes less space to hang them on walls than put yet another box on the floor of a working study. Also on the kitchen wall is a picture disc: not vinyl, but a 78; manufactured in France, seems to be salsa, but I don’t know who Linda or her pals are.

On the landing above the kitchen, colours are being tested for the stairwell …
Meanwhile, at the top of HQ, Slow Music – Live At The Croc (First Set) is werning its insinuating way, and growing on me. How to listen to improvised music? Well, several ways, is one possible answer. The same way you listen to anything is another. Don’t listen at it, just let if unfold is another. Ignore it is one more, a bold approach and one calculated to encourage listening. The Second Set is now unfolding, inviting me in without giving me any help at all in doing so.
