Our small performance yesterday evening: around 15 invited audients sat and stood close to the band in the smallish rehearsal room. This was quite enough to make the performance real and, in the intimate context, challenging. Overall, the playing was sufficient and honourable with enough clams to engender modesty, if not humility, and give the players a sense of the work that remains to be done before Thursday at 12th. &Porter.
For me, there remains the distance between seeing what is possible, what is needed, and who, what & where we are. This has customarily accompanied me through my life in Crimson, and is excruciatingly painful.
Now, an e-flurry beckons before setting off for today's rehearsals.
