Starbucks, U Distrtict, Seattle.
Rising at 05.00.
Here in Starbucks, for the second consecutive morning, the in-house is playing early 80s classic rock. Yesterday I walked into Once In A Lifetime & Ashes To Ashes. This morning, China Girl has been werning away, but not all the songs are ideal to support my beginning day, and not at the amplitude chosen (loud enough to propel the staff into the early shift). The in-house is now at a level that the bass frequencies are not penetrating my noise cancellators.
A call to the Minx, and e-frenzying awaits: 258 – yow!

Universal Music Group Sues Myspace
Friday, 17 November 2006
Universal Music Group, the largest music company in the world, has made good on CEO Doug Morris’s threat to sue MySpace, filing a lawsuit against the site today "just hours after MySpace... said it launched an enhanced copyright protection tool to make it easier for content owners to remove unauthorized material," according to Reuters. Evidently, talks between the two companies had broken down late yesterday, leading to the filing of the suit today.
The suit alleges that MySpace permitted its users to upload thousands of UMG’s music videos to the site, and that MySpace’s reformatting of the videos for playback constitutes participation in the alleged infringement.

And these…

09.21 The e-frenzy is coming to an end. E-mail has mostly replaced my morning reading.
The homeless man on my left has been holding out, loudly & at great length, to the man on my immediate left. The man on my immediate left has large bones, and these large bones are located on his front immediately below his navel. He also has large sitting bones. His jeans have slipped below these front & sitting bones, and are hanging out of his trousers in an alarming fashion. The conversation has now paused. Many of the surrounding seats have been taken by a meeting of 13 good middle-class folks. The homeless man looks out of place in this congreting; probably, so am I. This is a meeting of the University Presbyterian Church. The man on my left is now in discussion with one of the Presbyterians on the subject of varying denominations within the Church.
09.37 Enough.
16.51 A morning & afternoon of practising in preparation for tomorrow’s session. This is the first time I have played Epitaph, on acoustic & in the OST, for 36 years.
