Professionally Acceptable Serviced Apartment Liverpool

Professionally Acceptable Serviced Apartment, Liverpool.

Hooray! I am visiting Little Willcox on the road.

A straightforward drive here after a plethora of eruptile business yesterday afternoon, including:

Signing documents relating to the BMG Settlement, at last.

Re-arranging my flight to Tokyo next week. United Airlines are cutting costs to move out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and have dropped one of my connecting flights to Japan from the UK. As a loyal UA 1K flyer, my usual routing from London to Tokyo takes me through San Francisco. But, under the new arrangement, I would also have to spend a night in SF and that's a journey too far.

New difficulties & endless practicalities of the prospective European tour. Some of the concerts have been confirmed ahead of the technical requirements being agreed. The criterion that FOH Greg Dean & Tour Manager MJK have been given to meet is this: the quality of the performance must not be compromised.

It's not strictly necessary, for example, to have inflatable tusks and a full array of lights, but an economy sound system is not on. Nor are we prepared to accept hotels chosen by the promoter. These are never hotels that the band is ever likely to choose for themselves. Like, a faded 1960s Motel Exotica called The Shangri La, conveniently located by the side of a motorway, and a 30-minute taxi ride from any part of Rome that one would associate with the name, masquerading as a "hotel in Rome". There are other examples of hotels that might be given, were I able to bring myself to activate the scars of remembrance.

My emotional responses to the planning for this tour continue to vary between dread & fear.

I arrived at the Liverpool Empire, which I believe Crimson last played with Ian, Mel & Bozzell in 1971, for The Black Hills of Dakota through Secret Love and to the end. Yippee!

Today, much walking around town and just being with Toyah. Ah! the simple joy of walking with my Lover.
