One of yesterday evenings eletters

One of yesterday evening's e-letters was from Billy B., agreeing to the licensing of the 1974 Paris tv show. From my reply: "Don't worry - we may sound like shit, but we look like shit too".

Yesterday the Horse & I had lunch with new friends in Marin and then set off for San Anselmo at the recommendation of Sister, who is presently in Dallas. "Pitch Black" was our horror of choice.

An easy, unhurried morning. The ongoingness of the Guitar Craft community in Seattle continues to resonate and is available for Crafties to connect to & with, whatever the geographical distance.

My morning's reading, the first this week, was a new edition of a JGB Sherborne House transcription. The more I read, the more this man has on offer when I return to him. The jury is still out on whether the IACE at Sherborne was a "success" or not, and to make this judgement demands a wider perspective than is presently available to me. But personally, Sherborne House was a necessity, a rare opportunity, & exceptionally uncomfortable. Guitar Craft could not have happened without that particular experiment, which was in turn somehow validated for me through GC.

The process of King Crimson takes place in public, Guitar Craft in private. Guitar Craft is therefore protected from the (destructive) commentary directed towards Crimson (and is confirmed by recent visits to ET). Crimson also made the appearance of GC possible, which took me some time to see, but as a public process is inevitably unable to reach the depth & subtlety available through Guitar Craft.

The change of air, noticeable yesterday, continued into today with an eruption of blossom on many sidewalk trees. A neighbourhood Japanese for lunch followed by some elevated walking, a second visit to Fields, and dinner followed by walking on Fillmore up to Pacific Heights.

Today has brought out numerous "characters" onto the streets, possibly attracted by the swelling moon.
