Yippee! once again. I've spoken to Toyah, who is having dinner with her parents near Pershore, England; and then with my Sister who is in San Francisco.
During Friday afternoon I remembered why I do this, despite all the good & compelling reasons why I should be doing other things. Then, something changed.
Yesterday was a dribble day following the travelling on Thursday. Exhaustivo to the max. Probably, related to the change in atmosphere from ground level to one mile high.
So, what of last night's performance? An enthusiastic audience, not all of whom were focused, met the band (more or less) to make the show work. A couple in front of me were inhaling nitrous oxide from balloons throughout out the performance (Trey saw this). This fired them on to shout helpful suggestions throughout the evening.
The basement dressing room is notable for the foul odours wafting from the drain. This combines with the chill to make the room not entirely appealing, although the dÈcor has been significantly improved. So, it looks good & smells bad.
Bill Janssen, sax player el superbo, came to support the performance.
An interesting moment during this morning's sitting, which is conventionally the morning when Crafties send out good wishes to others within the community: as I brought to mind the Circle, I saw that it has become larger. This was surprising.
