Hotel Acceptable, Seville.
Today is my Sister’s birthday. She is in New Zealand, and called me on the ‘bus while we were travelling to Seville from Granada-ish.

From the motorway, a church tower becomes visible, in the centre of an old town. Then, around it, perhaps 2-3 miles of new-build & newer-build continuing to spread into the surrounding former-countryside.

The promised hotel wifi doesn’t quite extend to all of the rooms. Actually, almost none of ours. So, I’m in the bar area, e-flurrying.
14.10 Hooray! The smokers in the bar have gone! The barmaid was enjoying loud cartoons on the bar tv, which I have asked her to turn down. Conventionally, hotel services are in place to support the preferences of hotel staff. Where this negatively intrudes upon my hotel-experiencing, I act on the assumption that the hotel is there to support the preferences of its paying guests.

Good performance to an audience including, reportedly, 150 music students. The LCG were particularly good & Hernan was hot.
A flash at the end.
Report on yesterday: the performance was part of a contemporary music series, so probably too rocky for some of the older audients. Hernan feels that Calliope, at the merchandising stand, made a connection to the audience that may have eluded us during the performance itself.
Returning to the hotel…
