Listening to Soundscapes at the Park West in Chicago, supporting Porcupine Tree (October 11th. 2005). Soundscapes get better with time, even a lot of time, it seems.
17.41 An 07.30 lobby call with Curt for Trinity & the Seattle Guitar Circle. Morning sitting, group work & personal meetings.
Returning to the hotel & a call from the Minx, who has been performing in a special performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the royal Court, including Doing The Time Warp with Anthony Head. Lotsa fun & a big success, T reports.
Now, an e-flurry & an 18.30 lobby call for a meditation with the SGC at Trinity.

20.42 Bill The Director has retuned me from Trinity.
What was recently the next, and is now the current, period of Guitar Craft (a time frame of 21 years), has the overall theme of application. Within the overall period of application, we are presently in the injunction stage of application.
For those with a more mature GC practice, exercises of greater subtlety & which embody craft information are necessary. So, we are approaching the subject of air. We are not asked to accept ideas that are presented to us, even where these ideas come from exceptional people with exceptional insights. Rather, we are asked to test & examine these ideas, to verify them within our own experience. From the Guitar Craft House Rules…
You are not asked to passively accept any idea that is presented to you. Rather, you are invited to test ideas you find surprising, to establish the veracity of those ideas, or not, for yourself. You are encouraged to adopt a position of healthy scepticism, while participating in a spirit of goodwill.
So, how do we ordinary people test ideas that are beyond the range of our “normal” experience & capacity? One technique is meditation, the technique adopted this evening at Trinity.
Now, some computing & practicing to follow. A banjoist is practicing in the adjoining hotel room, maybe a first in the traveling life of this Happy Gigster.
