… and – perfect timing! – the Minx called just as my foot was going over the threshold into the gallery to wish me well for the talk. Yippee!

Beginning at 11.00 with a generous introduction by Dr. Alfonso, to about 28 people in the audience, recorded for distribution to CIIS students around the world; duration around 1’20” total.

Then to a most enjoyable lunch nearby at Restaurant Most Acceptable with Dr. Alfonso & his wife, the exceptional jazz singer Kitty Margolis.

Afterwards, Sister & I walked to the restaurant, a few blocks away, to check for the space for this evening: we are speaking to important people in the NSA who will be having tastinesses & mingling in an informal atmosphere. The Apple store was only a couple of blocks from there, so I have a new battery pack for this G4. Calling at Kinko’s on the way home, collecting dry cleaning & home.

18.10  Off to the gig.

21.33  The gig was a Fripp & Fripp speaking debut in front of the National Speakers’ Association Board of Directors & Past Presidents – otherwise known as the NSA muckety-mucks – at a restaurant mingling & milling downtown. A superb guitarist had the difficult providing live background music, which he accomplished very well. It wasn’t the occasion to stand & listen – milling & mingling were the operational terms & call to action – but I would like to have been able to listen attentively for longer.

F&F went on c. 20.30 for about 30 minutes. Sister is a superb prompter & guider & steerer for this novice speaker, to a generous audience of professional speakers, leaders in their field. Patricia walks on & owns the space. Respect & admiration.
