Chateau Minx, Eze.
A grey day, and a little nippy, on the Cote d’Azur. The Minx is here on business & I am accompanying her, appropriately on Valentine’s Day.
A gentle morning, a walk into the low, un-perched, town for a superb lunch. Then a walk up the town-perched to visit the church, and light a candle for Alec as, in a village near Bredonborough, Alec was being buried. Alec was the widower of T’s godmother Gee, who died in 2003 at the age of 102. A wonderful photograph of Gee & T together, taken at Gee’s 100th. birthday party, has recently been hung in a position of honour on our kitchen wall. This was delivered to us following Alec’s flying away, expressly at his request.
Then to coffee & tea at Chateau Le Posh & a walk back to the low-town for food shopping.
