20.59    Lunch at 13.00.
Quiet, and the Silence entered.

The Beginners are working towards their performance this evening.

23.10    Tea at 16.00.

Personal meetings:
at 16.30 with the combined JOTD SSG participants on the course;
at 17.15 with The Book Project Team of Alessandro, Adriano, Robertino and Alain.
Both very good meetings, from where I was sitting. A new idea has appeared re: the publication of The Guitar Circle.

Practising.
Dinner at 19.00 with washing up.
A brief meeting with Hernan and off to the 21.30 Performance…

The Full Team assembled down the corridor and around, sending its small groups to perform on their own, away from the body of the Team. The full Team only appeared for one whole group piece. This until 22.08.

A performance that never quite began for me, with sub-groups appearing and disappearing. To begin, the noises-off from those not playing, were louder than the first team, a duo.
The audience were gentler than usual.
A personal highlight: the audience were laughing, in its well humoured way at a particular group’s performance, and one member of  the ensemble also began laughing, as if to say: Yeah, it sucked so much I find it funny too!

A House of Guitars was called, to redeem the evening.
In the Inner Circle: 12 guitars; c. 22 in the Outer Circle.

When ready, please begin.
A dancer appeared towards the end of this.
When ready, please play for dancing.
When ready, please begin.
Let’s get this show on the road! At this, one member of the Inner Circle began giving directions to others in the Inner Circle, and then to several in the Outer.
I felt the improv rocking to begin, with a swing, but became stodgy. A circulation sent it off, petering out.
Blowing into a soundhole - and off in another direction.
As that faded, some well-chosen circulation notes were proffered, but I sensed general tiredness, and the circulation didn’t quite ignite.
A wonderful diminuendo such as I have rarely ever heard, and never this fine in a Guitar Circle.

Returning to Room 28, Hernan visited for a short meeting and discussion.

Now to discover what adventures NightWorld has in store.
