How does the individual "assume the virtue"? (I have no guess to make on this one!)

and, do we also "assume the virtue" in others...?

isn’t it time you went to a GC course? this would all make a lot more sense afterwards...

we assume the virture as regarding ourselves; we address the highest in other people, which is far harder than responding to their everyday selves; but assuming the virtue is their own responsibility.

an (early & primary) example of assuming the virtue:

we do not have to feel cheerful;

we do to be cheerful;

but it is necessary that we act as if we are cheerful.

so, what is the manifestation of "cheerful"? how does a cheerful person act? even, write down these characteristics. then, act cheerfuly.

Here computing in the smoke-free environment of the Sun & Moon, wittering golden classics of the1960s are wittering. The music choice locates the character of the pub and, although I would prefer nothing on the NPU, this is second best: a pub 45 years behind the times is quite acceptable to me. I remember these tunes & find them strangely reassuring, albeit noting they emerged in a time of maximum uncertainty as to whether the world would continue, or not. The Golden Age is forty years ago… discuss.
