Bredonborough Reading morning The inbox

Bredonborough.

Reading morning.

The inbox holds correspondence relating to the most recently-discovered copyright violation by Sanctuary UMG.

To Mr. Second Tier Lawyer at UMG…

no one from your end has contacted me on this.

from my end, i support declan's presentation of the position; albeit were i to express this myself, it would be in a rather more direct fashion. this, given that you blocked progress on resolving the sanctuary / UMG / KC problem for 17 months while claiming that you had authority and the confidence of your superiors. this necessitated me ceasing my directly musical life for a period of 18 months in order to have the attention available to address it. better, rather than me continue directly, that declan continues to speak on behalf of myself & DGM and allow my attention to be primarily focused elsewhere.

So, addressing dispute both in the professional world & also Crafty arisings of the disgruntled kind.

The guitarist dual-functioned as band driver, arriving at the Scala by Kings Cross c. 15.20. There was no heat in the building. There was heat in the dressing room until recently we were told, but it has broken down. Therefore, coldness abounds I…

John Young went on at 20.15 & The Humans’ sideman at 21.15. A voice from the audience suggested that bleeping & droning should immediately vacate the stage for Toyah. Bleeping & droning is not for everyone, clearly: but this is never forgotten.

A good audience of smallish-respectable size, a good set.

An audient-couple hustled a security man to get their way backstage. Outside, a Russian on the street was about to punch out our tour manager for giving deep personal insult by suggesting that RF does not give autographs. The Minx interceded & the Russian left. Let us have sympathy for him: he had consumer rights to behave however he wanted, including punching out Mr. Holmes when the guitarist declined to engage in the radical fetishisation of the inherent & delineated meanings of specific musicworks.

The singer dual-functioned as band transporter, driving past the Roundhouse, the venue for tomorrow’s Haiti benefit gig, and dropping off Brother Bill & The Wongmeister at their hotel. Formerly the Holiday Day Inn, Swiss Cottage it is now the Regent’s Park Marriott.

Onto Chiz.
