Bredonborough Mostly a wet day

19.35

Bredonborough.

Mostly a wet day in Bredonborough, although this morning was sunny with a blue sky.

This afternoon T & I went to a local garden centre, of the modest kind, and chose our Christmas tree. We then brought it back & set it up in The Saloon, kitting it out with lights & decorations. Barbara & Beric came for tea & tasty cakes, and performed a short, formal switching-on-the-Christmas-lights ceremony.

The Christmas lights of Bredonborough are on, shining brightly down the main street & square. Now our own few lights are adding to the twinkling. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Nativity opposite our front windows.

Tomorrow morning Uncle Bill is emigrating to Spain, at the age of 89, with his daughter Sue & her husband. I called him at Gatwick Hilton to wish him well.
