Bredonborough.

More coughing in the night. The pigeons, continuing to prepare their nest in the old pear tree, do not seem at all concerned by how I continue to suffer, all this because of the Devil Bug of Sassoferrato.

Sister-in-Law Nicky arrived c. 11.15 for a coffee at the back door with Toyah: this is the first day this year we have been able to move outside.

Shopping on the High Street to acquire tasty things for lunch. Theo arrived punctually at 13.00 & brought an additional batch of tasty cakes from a Viennese pastry shop in Finchley. This is our official launch party for Theo & Fripp: Live In Coventry Cathedral…

Not seeking to minimize the contribution this CD makes to the world, distractions are both available & welcome I…

A fabbo lunch. Discussion of various arisings, including the about-to-be-becoming Theo & Fripp Overwhelm The Iberian Peninsula tour. Also discussed, from the standpoint of the working player (at least): the paucity of justice in this world. One of the examples given: the current state of KC/RF accounting from UMG Publishing; its failure to collect, account &distribute large sums of publishing monies over some 15 years, and how little concern UMG demonstrate in accepting responsibility for any of this, now ongoing without being addressed for two years. An ordinary, decent person in business would not be able to comprehend the arrogance, irresponsibility & incompetence of major players in this industry.

Theo left c. 15.40.

A visit with the Minx to Barbara’s cottage, where old pals of the Willcox family, Bob & Sheila, were visiting. Barbara is in good, albeit bandaged, shape. Nicola will soon be returning home. Good that we have a former nurse & manager of Brighton Hospital, now player in the NHS, in the close family.

Back for High Street shopping with the Minx…

Organizing Uncle Bill’s photos. Uncle Bill, aka Squadron Leader AG Fripp (RAF retd.) has passed me his archive of historic photos to be digitized.

A local pal called by for a glass of champagne & catching-up at 18.00, leaving 19.30.

Time for an Adoration of the WillyFred.
