Proof that Bredonborough is visited by aliens…

... but the aliens are friendly & undisturbing of those that read the Weekend FT I…

More news on Mr. Hands & his dealings with Mr. Wormsley at Citigroup, someone Mr. Hands considered a friend and trusted adviser but, Mr. Hands claims, lied to him…

The court is being asked to decide on serious allegations about integrity and conflict of interest. Without clear documentary evidence, the court & jury has to choose between the differing accounts of the two men. This does have resonances from my own professional history, with the main exception that I have a long & growing paper trail in addition to verbal undertakings that were not recalled by one party but were by others.

Unpacking. Shopping. To practicing.

Shortly off to Birmingham Symphony Hall.

… to collect a Triple A laminate. Mr. Drummer, aka Jeff Campitelli appeared, and took me to the canteen to say hello to Joe & the team. The Joe Satriani Band went onstage…

… at 20.30. A smoking set. At 1 hour & 25 minutes, on a piece with 2 acoustics, the show took off & moved into a new gear. The back projection was very effective & fun. Overall, a stunning performance of 2 hours & 15 minutes, the best Satch show I have seen; and I’ve seen a lot & even played on some of them. The only disappointment: this is one of two nights on the tour that Mike Keneally had prior engagements. Dep Jem Godfrey was superb, but I missed my pal Mike. And it was hard to say goodbye to my pals Joe & Jeff…

… who are driving to Paris overnight. Yowch.

Walking to the parking lot, I slipped on the wet road & fell into the street in front of a car turning into the road. Fortunately, the car was moving slowly & the driver had sufficient wit to stop. An off-duty security man shouted across the street: Had a few drinks, mate? The old goat being addressed in this familiar fashion was sober, but clearly post-mature & dopey. Perhaps my Wife is right: her husband should be put into a home.

Arriving home after a good evening c. 00.30.
