An unsightly oil tank has been removed…

A plumber’s life v. A Venal Gigster:: Posted by SSImuse on October 23, 2006
RE: RF’s post of 10/20:
The thought occurred, while driving home, while listening to P6 banging away for an hour, that my playing life is more like that of a semi-pro. My day job is in the office, traveling & giving guitar lessons. In the evening I go out & play music with the guys. I am, therefore, not as useful to society as a plumber.
There are three possibilites to this:
1.) change (or at least, re-prioritize) the day job.
2.) realize that teaching others how to bring and present music into the world is an honorable advocation and accept that it is every bit as useful as a plumber’s.
3.) get out with guys more.
So very simple...
Two more simple possibilities…
4) Go to evening classes & learn plumbing;
5) Get Alex to teach plumbing at DGM HQ.
In respect of Mr. Slmuse’s No. 2.): I view Guitar Craft as my proper work in life. The income from Guitar Craft, and a win on the lottery, will support my declining years.
16.01 Now, a break in the second e-frenzy of today.
19.52 T has been expressing her love for her husband by baking a Loaf of Wonderment, Tastiness & Regularity…
… and a Christmas cake of Savagery, Joy & Delight...
It is too much to believe I deserve either of these, but I shall assume the virtue & pump them down in a measured fashion.
Guitar practising, and now the 3rd. installment of e-frenzying.
