I woke this morning with the conviction that our time in New York was a time of major transition - for Crimson, Toyah & myself. The early morning flurry confirms that this was also a changing time for DGM. My overall sense is this: a creative future awaits us all, and it is available. It must also be constructed. If we sit around and wait for the future to set itself up, ex nihilo, we will wake up in the Spring of 2001 and twitch gently because our future doesn't appear to be coming online. Then, in the Summer, we'll discover that our creative future has eluded us. Our future will then be one of dealing with repercussions: a mechanical future, which unwinds rather than unfolds.

This Crimson tour took on a life of its own in New York.
