Robert Fripp's Diary

Am I awake Am I

01.18 Am I awake? Am I alive? Is this a near-death experience? No, it's only jet lag.

03.33 A one hour telephone conversation with David Singleton brought me up to date on affairs at World Central.

05.30 After an hour of pretending that I was asleep, I got up an `phoned Adrian Belew with a suggestion for the next step. Then, recognising, acknowledging that I was actually awake, I showered. My day has now formally begun & I am in action.

14.36 An exceptionally busy day. and another four interviews at an end: Guitar, Strange Days, Burrn! & the Yomiuri Newspaper.

15.46 Toyah called from England as I was lying in bed, pretending that I might fall asleep. I feel renewed having spoken with her.

20.58 Wiped. Weary. Telephone calls to Richard Chadwick & Diane at World Central. Two interviews - for tv & radio, & Beatleg (a bootleg magazine) + photo session. I've been awake since midnight without a break.
