A hectic day of final

21.59 A hectic day of final preparations for leaving Reddish. Acts of heroism from the Dorset builder who was moving items put aside for future work in our about-to-be-becoming home. This evening I cut a bouquet of roses for my parents & drove out to Witchampton to give them the news (but of course they knew already). These are the last roses I shall take them from Reddish.

Two life cycles, 14 years in all, is in process of completion. This is the last home of mine / ours which Mother visited (Spring 1992). Leaving here, putting family & personal history into boxes, has brought this all closer & rendered it keener. I look forward to unpacking this in Dorset. Meanwhile, yesterday I packed a book inscribed "Given to me by my Mother Edie on July 19th. 1992". This was 3 days before she died and, considering the subject of the book, I had a deeper insight into Mum's thinking prior to her flying away.

Now, I'm beat.
