The sun is shining, the sky is blue.

12.47    Kitchen discussion with David touching on the difficulties of my cash flow; and Archbishop Williams’ comments on the lack of repentance among those responsible for the recent & ongoing financial and banking crises, locating the cause in Original Sin – humanity seems to have a taste for unreality. A wonderful formulation of a state that easily escapes practical grasp. But, for those reasonable people to whom this is more than an outdated, obscure theological & mythic term, distanced from the daily world of stuff & practicalities – the real world of common sensical appellation – despair is a constant companion; mitigated by faith, leavened by hope & swashed flat by love.
