Today at the Vicarage : The Betsy.

An intriguing day playing with recent KC recordings on the digital editor. Time was when you would have needed a large studio for such things, and now I can do it all on the boat. It is easy to forget how such toys have changed our lives.

A boat is definitely the best place to be given the recent flooding. Over a month's rainfall fell in one day in Braintree, if the news serves me correctly - the very place where Adrian Malloy left his bachelorhood.

I hear a knock on the door as I write (The Vicarage, 14.44, Tuesday) - Donbledore and Dr Unnecessary have just arrived safely from the States. I must break off to supply tea and cakes in the hall - even if I shall have to content myself with some pitiful warm wet substitute.
