Cleveland

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by…

Well, we didn’t exactly have the sea in Cleveland, just the Cuyahoga river. But we did have a vast ship, as the seemingly endless “American Courage” went past just before the show loaded with steel. A loud blast from its hooter answered by an equally loud cheer. 615 feet long. I have just looked it up.

A beautiful setting for a concert. What could be better than hearing the band play “Islands” – “Beneath the wind turned wave, infinite peace” – with the water shimmering in the background.
