The final soundscape performance of the tour contains some mesmerising points of detail not least of which is the solo seeping into Redemption where the notes are deeply engraved with a particularly vivid combination of melancholy and acceptance.

Throughout the tour Fripp’s performances have taken place against a backdrop of behind-the-scenes intrusions and unwarranted incursions into his personal space from local promoters and press. In venues, some of the integrity of the events has been violated by non-consensual photography and incipient autography.

Yet despite these factors the calm and balm of Soundscapes remains somehow intact. Reflecting on the tour in general in his diary, Fripp relates his meeting with the League Of Crafty Guitarists noting, “Our final meeting of the Tour was held in the Basement, at 11.00. . . .Only a few comments were offered. This included an observation by our Production Manager, that Soundscapes & The LCG began apart, and grew together. My own declared aim at the beginning of this tour: to see to what extent live performance is part of my life as a professional musician. If this aim were addressed specifically to Italy, on the basis of this tour, the answer is not a lot.”

Villa Arconati
I cannot be considered a "fan" but I followed RF since long time . Villa Arconati was just a good chance being few km away from home , nice place, not too crowded . I come to the core of the concert: it was "correct" in the sense that both the playing and the sound was ok, some good tips along the concert and then, suddendly, 10-15 seconds of "real thing" ! What I mean is that all the concert for me was concentrated in those 10 seconds (or even less) where RF opened the door of hell, threw in...
