KC has a history of providing musical impressions of New York City. Their first was Pictures Of A City, written in 1969. The finished version of Neurotica hails from the 1980s but that slicing guitar motif that cuts through the pice came ten years after Pictures. Written by Fripp when he was working on Exposure in NYC, it eventually found a home on the Beat album.
