One of the delights in this piece is Bill Rieflin’s tongue-in-cheek subversion of the big drum rolls at the front of the piece. But there’s absolutely no fooling around by the end of the track as all three drummers choke their respective cymbals at the climax. The astonished ‘whoop!’ that inevitably happens at the end never gets old.
