Her gyrations prompted Fripp to leave his stool and shuffle forwards to the microphone. "It's very rare that I come to the front but there was a lady in the front row who was dancing and I personally have no objection to this, and I appreciate that perhaps if I was sitting behind someone in front of me dancing I'd like them to sit. But...if we can find room for someone to dance at a King Crimson performance I'd be really grateful."
Posterity doesn't record what happened to the dancer in question but does record a fluffed intro to EleKtriK where Robert uses the patch for TCOL's intro piano note. A laughing Belew requests a reboot and things get properly underway. Plagued by technical troubles, Belew bows out for a number as Thrush is moved up from its end-show position to the mid-way mark as the crew attempt to sort out the gremlins. Their efforts, though sterling, aren’t entirely successful and Crimso just about make it to the end, via an impressive LTIA2 and Virtuous Circle. An eventful gig but not necessarily for the reasons you’d like!
