With nearly a dozen gigs under their belt on their second American tour, the most widely travelled King Crimson ProjeKct arrived in Ohio with all guns blazing.[endtease] In addition to all their road miles, P2 get to cover a lot of musical ground as well: one minute it’s heavy house, the next, heavy rock sprinkled with some heavy jazz noodling, but mostly it’s just all kinds of heaviness flying at you in one hair-raising blast after another. The band are really on fire tonight.

Trey Gunn’s verdict on the performance pretty much sums it up "Wow! Excellent show. I would give this as our best playing to date. The sound was fantastic, so we had a tremendous amount of leeway in the different directions we could take the music tonight. And, boy, we did take them!"

An element of the show was famously included on the Live Groove CD as a hidden track wherein the crowd’s reaction to Mr.Clueless of Cleveland taking a picture of the band in action is documented in all its gory glory.

And again...
I’ve been playing this set over and over again. It fits the hot, muggy weather we’re going through (I’m writing this during the few days of the British summer). Even the long pause while we wait for the clueless man to hand in his film has an energy about it. Thrush is sublime , Sus Tayn Z is amazing and House II is on fire.Top flight improv with that vein of P2 humour showing through in places.

What a Show!
I was in attendance at this show and it was one to remember.  I was very close to the stage; the now defunct Odeon was SRO.  Thinking it would be clever, I yelled at the band, "Are we on Zarg yet?" after the song which I later came to know as Light ConstruKction.  Mr. Fripp, I think, found it more annoying than clever.  He pointed a finger at me and the listener can hear him say on this recording, "Who is this guy!?"  LOL.  Mr. Gunn merely shrugged at me.&nbs...

Music for the body & mind
I rarely give out five stars but this show is at least four-and-a-half. ProjeKct music is normally challenging, exciting, provoking; this is ProjeKct music to peel paint, to frighten cows, to crumble empires. Bring fresh underwear.
